Deacon John Carlin
Ordained a deacon in 1998, Deacon John's diaconal duties to our parish includes preaching and assisting at Sunday Masses, baptismal preparation coordinator, presides at marriages (as assigned), marriage preparation with engaged couples (as assigned), assist visiting presiders at Sunday Masses as needed, presides at baptisms, makes presentations and presides at prayer services for faith formation classes as needed, assists the bishop at confirmation, presides at funeral services when needed, presides or assist at other litugical services, Good Friday, benediction, etc., prays for the welfare of the parish and the pastor, is an ex-officio member of Pastoral council and a Worship Commission member.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, LPMP certificate, Diaconal Formation and a certified marriage tribunal procurator. John attended Catholic schools from elementary through college.
In 1969, John married Shirley and has 9 adult children and 11 grandchildren.
John is also involved with baptism preparation, training of Mass servers, assists with RCIA when needed, assists with ministry training and updates as required, is a parish vocations promotion team member, a member of the Social teaching committee and of the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoys gardening, exercise, pickleball, watching the the stock market and being a counselor for the Boy Scout's religious emblem.
