 Oberammergau Passion Play 2020
with Alpine Explorer & the Glacier Express Train
Travel Dates: September 6 - 17, 2020
Experience It! Glacier Train: Travel through the glorious scenery of the Swiss Alps on the legendary Glacier Express, the most charming express train in the world. As you journey between Zermatt and St. Moritz you will see spectacular views of snowcapped peaks, glittering lakes, and historic castles that could have been pulled from the pages of a storybook.  What makes Glacier Express special isn't its speed. On the contrary, it's actually known as the slowest train in the world.  This is a blessing; you'll want as much time as possible to sit back, relax and gaze out the windows a this once-in-a-lifetime panoramic view.
Oberammergau - Passion Play:  Witness a performance of the epic Passion Play.  The original performance dates back to 1634.  During the Thirty Year War, Oberammergau was spared the Black Plague and for this reason, the citizens vowed that every ten years they would give a play to honor the last days of the life of Christ. The performers are all native to the village and their costumes are made locally by the villagers.
Brochures can be found at the church, or contact Pat Smith, 335-2833, ext 105 or rsmith3055@aol.com
to request a brochure.

All Souls Day Mass

Friday, November 2, 2018

Mass at 7:30 PM

You are invited to come and pray for our departed loved ones, especially those who died in this last year.
Their names will be read and a candle lite in their memory.  Families present may take the candle home after Mass.
All are invited to a reception in the undercroft hosted by our GriefShare Team.
Since this is a First Friday, Mass will follow Adoration and Benediction from 6:00-7:00 PM

Why we Believe video series with Dr. Brant Pitre

This series will be held in the undercroft at 6:40-7:45 PM

Attention Parents of Faith Formation Children here is an opportunity for you to set an example for your children that you too are learning and growing in your Faith! Susan Anderson will also walk your children over to the undercroft after class so no worry to pick them up, they will come to you.

Is Catholicism true? Or is it just made up? How can I explain the faith to my family or friends who no longer believe?
In this mind-blowing series, Dr. Brant Pitre takes up the most commonly asked questions about the Catholic faith and provides clear and compelling biblical answers. He begins at the beginning--with the existence of God--and walks you step-by-step through the foundations of the faith.  Along the way, Dr. Pitre explains:

Oct 23, 2018:  Peter and the Papacy?  Did Jesus establish the Catholic Church? What is the historical evidence?
Oct 30, 2018:  Purgatory and Prayers for the Dead? Where is Purgatory in the Bible? Why do Catholics pray for the dead?
Nov 20, 2018:  How Did We Get the Bible?  From where did the Bible come? Who decided which books got in and which didn't?
Nov 27, 2018:  Do Catholics Worship Mary? What does the Bible teach about her?
If you've ever been asked any of these questions but weren't quite sure how to answer -- or if you know someone who has left the Church and no longer believes, then buckle up: this Bible study is for you. In it, you'll discover how just reasonable, biblical, and beautiful the Catholic faith really is.
