Oberammergau Passion Play 2020
Trip of a Life Time!
The Traveling Shamrocks
St Patrick Church, 409 East Main St, Troy
 Oberammergau Passion Play 2020
with Alpine Explorer & the Glacier Express Train
Travel Dates: September 6 - 17, 2020

Experience It! Glacier Train: Travel through the glorious scenery of the Swiss Alps on the legendary Glacier Express, the most charming express train in the world. As you journey between Zermatt and St. Moritz you will see spectacular views of snowcapped peaks, glittering lakes, and historic castles that could have been pulled from the pages of a storybook.  What makes Glacier Express special isn't its speed. On the contrary, it's actually known as the slowest train in the world.  This is a blessing; you'll want as much time as possible to sit back, relax and gaze out the windows a this once-in-a-lifetime panoramic view.

Oberammergau - Passion Play:  Witness a performance of the epic Passion Play.  The original performance dates back to 1634.  During the Thirty Year War, Oberammergau was spared the Black Plague and for this reason, the citizens vowed that every ten years they would give a play to honor the last days of the life of Christ. The performers are all native to the village and their costumes are made locally by the villagers.
